Six months after The Ann Arbor City Council sent the site plan for the proposed South Pond Village development back to Planning Commission, city planning staff is recommending to deny the new proposal.

City Council sends controversial development back to Planning Commission

The Ann Arbor City Council once again postponed voting Thursday night on the South Pond Village development proposal.

By a unanimous vote, the council voted to refer a newly submitted alternative site plan to the Planning Commission for review before the issue comes back to council.

Debate over South Pond Village continues tonight at City Council

A controversial proposal for a new subdivision behind the Arborland shopping center is back on the Ann Arbor City Council's agenda.

The council will consider approving the South Pond Village development when it meets at 7 p.m. Thursday on the second floor of city hall, 301 E. Huron St.

South Pond Village vote delayed as city explores traffic alternatives

Ann Arbor officials and residents continued to raise concerns about the controversial South Pond Village development Monday night. For the second time this month, the City Council delayed voting on the 73-home subdivision proposed on vacant land behind the Arborland.
